FIREWALL
About the service
Firewall protection system integrates firewalls
into switching platforms to secure the perimeter and the interior
of your networks from unauthorized access. The built-in filtering
technology controls traffic across different subnets at wire speed.
Any illegal activities can be traced, monitored and reduced for
security analysis.
Benefits
- The advanced filtering feature of Firewall Protection controls
traffic between VLANs, subnets and hosts, allowing only authorized
users to gain access across these boundaries.
- Firewall Protection deploys a high-speed packet inspection technology
to control access between networks, hosts and services in hardware
- at wire speed. This technology greatly enhances the internal
security of network without compromising performance.
- The inspection mechanism of Firewall Protection System intercepts
and analyzes all packets before they reach the operating systems
to ensure that all customers have their "dedicated"
firewall protection to safeguard the sensitive resources from
leakage.

VPN SERVICES
What is VPN
A VPN (virtual private network) is a way to use a
public telecommunication infrastructure, such as the Internet, to
provide remote offices or individual users with secure access to
their organization's network. A virtual private network can be contrasted
with an expensive system of owned or leased lines that can only
be used by one organization. The goal of a VPN is to provide the
organization with the same capabilities, but at a much lower cost.
Each of the VPN applications, Intranet, Extranet
or Business-to-Business services, is supported by secure, network-to-network,
host-to-network, or host-to-host tunnels - virtual point-to-point
connections. VPN tunnels may offer three important security services:
Authentication, to prove the identity of tunnel endpoints, Encryption,
to prevent eavesdropping or copying of sensitive information transferred
through the tunnel, and Integrity checks, to ensure that data are
not changed in transit
About the service
With VPN service, computers at different locations
appear as if they connected to the same company LAN. You do no need
to send files through email to a colleague at a remote site.
You can just simply open a shared folder, drag the file to that
folder, and colleagues at remote office can instantly read the file
from their desktop. You can also install an e-mail server
at the company LAN and connect it to the Internet 24 hours to send/receive
e-mail. Security is assured by router level access control
lists.
Benefit
- VPN infrastructure provides controlled access to dedicated sites
and authentication of dial-up users.
- Let you enjoy the privacy of a secured-data network and enable
your business to securely connect remote users, branch offices,
business partners, and customers.
- You can enjoy easy access to network resources, which leads
to an increase in productivity and business efficiency.
- Allow you to make your network (extranets, intranets and remote
access to LANs) reach global at a minimal expense, and greatly
simplifies the logistical issues present in adding new offices.
